Trip itinerary

DAY 1: KAI's OFFICE TO BAT DAI SON COMMUNE

Embark on your adventure with breakfast at KAI's office at 8:30 am, followed by a departure at 8:45 am. After covering approximately 10km, our first stop is at the serene Cat Ly, where you'll enjoy a revitalizing cup of Vietnamese coffee by the tranquil Mien River. Take in the peaceful natural scenery as we journey along the riverbank, surrounded by lush mountains, forests, and the vibrant corn and rice fields of the Ha Giang ethnic communities. A short distance from our starting point lies a hidden waterfall nestled in the primeval jungle, offering a refreshing immersion in nature. Indulge in the joy of bathing at this pristine waterfall! Continue your culinary exploration with a delicious lunch featuring local dishes at Kai's house. In the afternoon, venture through the H'mong ethnic villages, gaining insights into their simple yet contented way of life. Bat Dai Son commune, situated nearly 2000m above sea level, offers breathtaking views of the terraced fields, showcasing the grandeur of Ha Giang. Return to KAI's Homestay in the late afternoon for a cozy dinner with the family.

DAY 2: KAI's HOMESTAY TO DONG VAN TOWN

Start your day with an 8 am breakfast, followed by a departure at 8:30 am for a journey northwards to explore more villages. With the motorbike fueled up and our driver team ready, let's hit the road! After about 12km, we'll pause atop a mountain, allowing visitors to admire the villages and terraced fields from a distance. We then proceed to Dong Van District, stopping along the way for a 30-minute stroll through the ancient village of Pho Cao and the charming town of Pho Bang, inhabited mostly by ethnic minorities of Vietnamese-Chinese origin. Our next destination is Lao Xa village, renowned for its traditional silver craftsmanship and ancient wall houses dating back centuries. In the afternoon, we'll head straight to Dong Van town, ascending Don Cao mountain to marvel at the panoramic views. At 5 pm, enjoy dinner and cultural activities, including dancing and campfire gatherings, in the central yard.

DAY 3: DONG VAN TOWN TO DU GIA VALLEY

Kick off your day with breakfast and coffee in Dong Van old town at 8 am, then set out at 8:45 am to traverse the scenic Mapileng Pass, one of the highlights of our journey. Take your time to savor the majestic mountainous landscape as we navigate this breathtaking route. Next, embark on a leisurely cruise along the jade-colored Nho Que River, a serene experience that lasts 2-3 hours. Don't miss the opportunity to capture souvenir photos at Tu San, Southeast Asia's deepest abyss. Travel along Provincial Road 176, surrounded by rocky mountains, en route to Du Gia valley. Here, you'll experience life in Sa Li village, inhabited by Red Dao ethnic people engaged in agriculture. Conclude your day with a refreshing dip at Du Gia waterfall before checking in at 6 pm and enjoying dinner with your homestay host family at 7:30 pm.

DAY 4: DU GIA VALLEY TO HEAVEN GATE

The feeling of waking up in a far away place - there are birds singing and roosters crowing in the early morning, making us know that it is truly a peaceful village. Finished breakfast at 9:00 a.m., then set off on the last day toward Provincial Road 181, where along both sides of the road were green corn fields and ancient villages of the H'mong ethnic group! Come experience linen weaving in Lung Tam commune, where skilled artisans use beeswax to paint on fabric to create quality products for export to the world. After finishing lunch, on the way back to KAI's office, we did not forget to take everyone to the Red Dao community cultural tourism village in Nam Dam village - this place still preserves many traditional features such as the Red Dao village. walled house, traditional costumes! Then move to two famous landmarks: Twin Mountain and Heaven Gate! Tour ends around 4pm! We said goodbye to our guests and returned home to our wife and children after a few days of touring away!
